Comic Haul 7/14 - ToyMan Show 2019

The ToyMan Show in Bridgeton, MO has been the convention I've been looking forward to the most. After the moderately disappointing Cape Con and the generally meh Free Comic Book Day, I was really hoping to come home with some incredible pieces. Let's take a look at this year's trip to the show.

Comic Haul 6/8 - Superman Celebration 2019

Last year this went up late, too. Not as late as this one. This one is going up over a month late because work has been especially awful lately and I haven't been motivated to do much of anything except lay on the couch and watch YouTube videos.

Comic Haul 5/4 - Free Comic Book Day 2019

My yearly tradition of traveling to Evansville, IN for Free Comic Book Day continues! This year I hit up the usual spots as well as a few new ones. I didn't score anything too amazing, but I did get some stuff. Let's take a look.

Comic Haul 4/27 - Cape Con

Finally, it's here. My favorite comic convention of the year. Cape Con is the biggest local con I go to, and I normally come home with some pretty good stuff. Was this year as incredible as years past? You'll have to continue reading to find out!

Comic Haul 4/6 - Southern Illinois Comic Con

On Saturday, April 6th I attended the first comic convention of the year. Normally the Cape Comic Con is the first one for me, but this year there was a new one that had never been held before. It was in the small town of Benton, IL, and while it's not going to go down in history as the best comic convention I have ever been to, it was okay. Especially for the first year.

Comic Haul 10/13 - Galaxy of Heroes Con

A week ago yesterday was the inaugural year for the Galaxy of Heroes Con in Paducah, KY. I went to it not knowing what to expect, but I ended up being relatively surprised by it. Check out the haul from the final comic convention of 2018.

Comic Haul 9/29 - Saluki Con

It's year two for the Saluki Con, and I attended the con with a friend of mine and ran into even more friends at the convention when I got inside. It was a very good show and a lot better than I was expecting, to be completely honest. Check out what I got!

Comic Haul 8/18 - Burg Con 2018

It's a small convention, but that doesn't mean I didn't find anything good! As the folks on Comic Trips would say, it was "small but mighty." Check out what I came home with.

Summer convention season is quickly approaching its end, but we still have a bit to go. This past Sunday was the ToyMan Show, and I attended it along with a few friends. This time it isn't so much a comic haul as it is a toy haul.

It was the first Saturday of May again, which in the comic business is like Black Friday for other retailers. I am of course referring to Free Comic Book Day, and this year, just as many other years in the past, I journeyed to Evansville, IN with friends to partake in the event.

The ToyMan Show in Bridgeton, MO is something I had somehow not heard of before this year. On Sunday, myself and two friends made the journey there and visited the packed venue. Additionally, we also ran by some comic shops. I'm sure that's not much of a surprise, though.
